Final Examinations

It is the prerogative of the instructor to determine whether a final examination and/or a term paper will be required in any given course. However, if a final examination is given, it must be given on the day and time printed in the Schedule of Classes, unless all students in a class agree to an alternative. Students are expected to be present for regularly scheduled final examinations. Exceptions are made only in unavoidable circumstances, such as illness documented by a physician. In such cases, the student must inform the instructor as well as the appropriate Academic Dean in advance and ask for permission to take a make-up examination.
