The University's four modern residence halls, 12 one bedroom/one bathroom and 4 two bedroom/2 bathroom apartments, located in a park-like setting behind the main campus, provide students with attractive and comfortable campus living.
Each residence hall room is fully furnished and includes a private bath and air-conditioning. Many offer spectacular views of Los Angeles. Though all residence hall rooms are furnished as doubles, most of the rooms in the graduate student residence hall are occupied as singles. A limited number of rooms are designed specifically for disabled students.
The university’s apartments, typically occupied by graduate students and students with families, are all fully furnished and are equipped with full kitchens.
In addition, the residential area is equipped with a number of amenities to make your on-campus living experience more enjoyable. Among these are convenient and inexpensive laundry facilities, a weight/exercise room, study lounges, conversation areas with chairs and tables located throughout, two computer centers, two fully functional kitchens for use by residence hall residents and an outdoor basketball court.
Living on campus provides students with a small, but warm community and a variety of programs. Shabbat and holidays are celebrated with tefillah (religious services), festive meals, group learning with guest speakers and scholars-in-residence, a communal “Oneg” and Havdallah under the stars. Parties and social events are offered on a regular basis. By working with the Graduate Student Association, students plan the programs in which they participate and enrich the community with their ideas and perspectives.
